Dr. Nurlan Saparov brings extensive Kazakhstan and Caspian expertise in reservoir characterisation, simulation, and field development planning. His work spans Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak, and onshore appraisal programmes across western Kazakhstan. At ODS Oil and Gas LLP, he leads reservoir engineering across active asset portfolios, driving recovery optimisation and reserves certification in compliance with SPE-PRMS standards.
Dr. Saparov holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the Satbayev University and is a registered Professional Engineer. His technical expertise covers integrated reservoir modelling using Eclipse and Petrel, material balance analysis, history matching, and production forecasting. He has contributed to the successful appraisal of offshore discoveries and has supported proved and probable reserves certification across multiple Kazakhstan and Caspian assets. He is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and has authored technical papers on reservoir simulation and EOR strategies.
