The Offshore Exploration Block project advanced a high-potential Caspian licence area from early subsurface screening to a drill-ready appraisal programme. ODS Oil and Gas LLP coordinated geoscience interpretation, well planning, logistics readiness, environmental controls, and integrated HSE assurance for the client operator.
The block required disciplined execution because the subsurface model included complex faulting, pressure uncertainty, and narrow operating windows. ODS combined seismic inversion, petrophysical evaluation, and real-time drilling surveillance to reduce uncertainty before each well section was approved.
ODS managed the technical workflow from prospect maturation through post-well evaluation, keeping field decisions connected to reservoir, drilling, marine logistics, and environmental requirements.
The execution plan was organised into controlled workstreams so engineering, HSE, procurement, commissioning, and operations readiness moved together instead of becoming disconnected site activities.
ODS worked alongside the client technical authority through weekly subsurface reviews, daily drilling calls, and structured HSE leadership meetings. This gave decision makers clear visibility on cost, safety, and reservoir risk while preserving the pace needed for offshore operations.
The campaign delivered a mature appraisal package, improved reservoir confidence, and a practical development basis for future field planning. The work was completed with no lost-time incidents, controlled non-productive time, and a final subsurface model that supported the client investment committee with defensible volumes and development scenarios.
