The Flow Metering & Custody Transfer project modernised fiscal measurement points across production and transfer facilities. ODS Oil and Gas LLP supported metering skid selection, instrument verification, calibration planning, data reconciliation, and handover to operations.
Accurate measurement was essential for commercial settlement, regulatory reporting, and production allocation. ODS focused on traceable calibration, robust data handling, and practical maintenance routines that could be sustained by the client operations team.
ODS covered the full metering lifecycle from technical assessment and package review through commissioning, uncertainty validation, operator training, and acceptance documentation.
The execution plan was organised into controlled workstreams so engineering, HSE, procurement, commissioning, and operations readiness moved together instead of becoming disconnected site activities.
ODS worked closely with metering engineers, terminal operators, finance stakeholders, and third-party calibration specialists. The combined approach ensured that technical measurement improvements were reflected in commercial reporting confidence.
The upgrade improved measurement reliability, reduced manual reconciliation effort, and gave the client a traceable custody transfer process. Operators gained clear procedures for calibration, exception handling, and periodic verification without disrupting production.
